In the vibrant world of gospel music, Dr Blinkie Oteng, affectionately known as Dr Blinkie, stands out as a beacon of hope and inspiration.

Her latest release is a testament to her unwavering faith and journey with God, the journey that has taken her through valleys of struggle to mountaintops of triumph. “I view this album as a testimony,” says Dr Blinkie. “It reflects my life journey and how God has carried me through every season.” Like the Apostle Paul, she has learned to live in abundance and in lack, facing difficult moments and basking in good seasons, but through it all, God has been her constant. This realisation sparks awe: “Wow, how wonderful are the works of the Lord in my life.” This release is a deeply personal reflection of Dr Blinkie’s faith journey, shaped by prayer, grace, and answered prayers. “I am a product of prayer, grace, and answered prayers,” she says. The title track captures her awe and gratitude towards God, a declaration of wonder at how He has brought her through life’s ups and downs. “It tells the story of how He has brought me through and remained faithful,” she explains. Dr Blinkie’s sound is rooted in gospel, a message of hope, restoration, and revival. “Gospel music is not just about singing, it’s about sending a message of hope, restoration, and revival,” she says.

Influenced by the Word of God and worship, her music is a ministry, not just a performance. She draws strength from her Christian background and family of believers, pastors, and ministers. The recording process was a beautiful experience, with standout moments like singing “Jesus is my healer, my provider, my peace, my strength in times of weakness”. “My producer paused and said, ‘Wow, where is that coming from?’ It was a powerful reminder that this project was truly spirit-led.” Dr Blinkie hopes listeners grasp God’s faithfulness and power. “I want listeners to understand God’s ways are far above our ways,” she says. Her prayer is that the music ignites hope, brings revival, and rekindles faith. Scriptures like Philippians 4:13 and Ephesians 3:20 inspired this work. This release is part of Dr Blinkie’s calling and purpose. Fans can expect live ministry moments, with an album launch planned in Palapye.

BPF should get house in order
