Culture Spears delivered a thrilling performance at Molefi Senior Secondary School (SSS) Cultural Festival on Saturday PIC MORERI SEJAKGOMO

Despite all the entertainment that the choir's and traditional song and dance groups dished out at Molefi Senior Secondary School (SSS) Cultural Festival on Saturday, Culture Spears' performance topped it and got the audiences cheering and dancing.

For its first installment, the festival which was themed, Ikitse Kgabo attracted a number of music lovers who witnessed not just the Sekgatla culture but also got the chance to see their favourite artists on stage.

Though there were continuous sound disruptions, Culture Spears did not let the glitches demoralise it.

A promising step for public schools, but...

For too long, the state of many public schools has been a source of shame. We have all seen the pictures and heard the stories of broken windows, unreliable water and electricity, topped by classrooms that are not fit for proper learning. The establishment of the Education Infrastructure and Management Company Ltd (EIMC) signals that authorities are finally ready to take this problem seriously. We must commend the government for this initiative....
