COSBOTS finally holds an EGM

After a heated tussle with their members recently, the Copyright Society of Botswana (COSBOTS) will finally hold an extraordinary general meeting (EGM) next week in order to resolve issues of unpaid royalties and the expired term of board members.

An EGM is usually called on short notice and deals with an urgent matter. COSBOTS were forced to hold this EGM after a pile of pressure from concerned artists led by veteran musicians, Alfredo Mos and Phempheretlhe Bafana Pheto. The concerned artists served the board with papers and requested them to leave the office with immediate effect.

In an interview with Showbiz, COSBOTS communications manager Seeletso Lekgaba said they have decided to hold the meeting on March 18 in order to solve the unresolved issues between the organisation and their members.
