Comediennes pull stunts on stage

Comediennes Rekunde, Nigma, Refilwe and upcoming Lira pulled stunts at the first ever Queens of Comedy show at Avani Sun on Saturday. The quartet took turns on stage as they showcased their talents leaving the audience in stitches.

Upcoming comedienne Lira showed some potential on stage as she took a swipe at Dr Margaret Nasha who was present at the gig. “I respect intelligent women like Mma-Nasha, she has even proved wrong the saying beauty with brains,” she joked, leaving the crowd in a roar of laughter.

She went on to tell yet another joke about Mma-Nasha, which the crowd found amusing. She calmly told the audience that if a demon jumps into Mma-Nasha’s bedroom instead of her shouting “in the name of Jesus” the demon would get terrified and shout in the name of Jesus.
