Why Zebras played with Puma kit

The Botswana Football Association (BFA) has explained why the Zebras donned the Puma uniform and not the kit from their technical sponsor, All Kasi, during the 2012 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Tunisia last Thursday.

BFA acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Susan Monametsi told Mmegi Sport that the Zebras were supposed to depart Gaborone on a chartered flight to Tunisia last week on Monday, the day All Kasi was to deliver the kit.

But changes in travel arrangements meant that the Zebras had to leave via a commercial flight; a day earlier on Sunday and the kit remained behind. "The team departed earlier than we expected that is why the kit was left behind," Monametsi explained.
