A struggle to paddle into limelight

The 2014 Africa Youth Games brought unlimited expectations as Botswana welcomed 51 countries to its capital, for a 10-day sporting festival. It was lauded as a game-changing spectacle, meant to leave a lasting legacy. However, five years on, some emerging codes like canoeing and rowing are still struggling to paddle away from obscurity, writes MQONDISI DUBE
