The Speaker, Dithapelo Keorapetse, delivered a judgment on the allegations made by Moswaane regarding an influx of substandard medicines into the country. After reviewing a dossier of evidence, including savingrammes, letters from BOMRA, and even a death certificate, the Speaker concluded that the Minister was guilty of grave exaggerations.

Most troubling was the attempt to link these medicine recalls to child fatalities, only for the evidence to produce a death certificate for a 60-year-old woman. That is not a minor error, but a fundamental misrepresentation.
It is a warning flare to every Motswana who logs onto social media. As a country, we have reached a point where the line between robust debate and outright destruction has become dangerously blurred.
