Three Oil Companies Acquire Sites In Lobatse International Transport Hub

Three major Botswana oil companies have acquired sites in the Lobatse International Transport Hub (LITH) to develop truckports that will supply fuel and lubricants for both commercial and consumer traffic on the Trans-Kalahari Corridor (TKC).

The TKC forms the western portion of the trans-regional Coast-2-Coast Corridor stretching from Walvis Bay in Namibia through Lobatse to Maputo in Mozambique.

Asked why the LITH, the MD of one of the oil companies stated: “The TKC has great commercial potential as volumes along the TKC will build over time due to increasing intra-regional trade.
