The famous annual Ghantsi Agricultural Show is here again. It will be held from June 26-28 with a theme aimed at encouraging Botswana farmers to produce more for the country as global food prices continue to rise.

The organisers of the show say that preparations for this year's event are complete and they are ready to roll. However, the secretary of the organising committee, Keorapetse Ralehika revealed that they are not sure about the harvest from arable farmers. He said the message from cattle farmers is good as they have healthy animals. "From my analysis, this show grows every year and we are seeing those who have exhibited previously coming back this year," he said.

The theme for this year's show is: A Diversified, Competitive and Sustainable Business: A Roadmap to Food Security. The event will be opened by Botswana Meat Commission (BMC) CEO Dr Motshudi Raborokgwe.
