Ministry hosts pitso on diversification master plan

 According to ministry officials, today's meeting will focus on developing "an overarching Economic Diversification Drive (EDD) Medium to Long-term Strategy and Master Action Plan.

In March, cabinet approved the ministry's short-term strategy and directed that a medium and long-term EDD be developed.  Official documents reveal that today's meeting is the result of efforts from 2009, driven by then Vice President Ian Khama, under the Ministerial Committee on Economic Diversification.
