Innovation Hub gets international recognition

The International Association of Science Parks and Areas of Innovation (IASP) has conferred full member status on Botswana Innovation Hub.

The announcement was made by the IASP Executive Board following its assessment of the company’s operations during the 2014 IASP Africa Division Conference that was held at the Gaborone International Convention Centre (GICC) in April this year.   

CEO Alan Boshwaen said the full IASP member accreditation bestowed on Botswana Innovation Hub was in recognition of the company’s “fulfilment of all conditions of being operational, including having active innovation programmes such as First Steps Venture Centre (FSVC), Microsoft Innovation Centre (MIC), Clean Tech Centre, Southern Africa Innovation Support (SAiS) programme, making tangible progress in construction of the park and having an active member list comprising of academic institutions, public and private sector partners, small and large businesses and a growing list of anchor tenants that have signed up to locate in the park.”
