Francistown council abattoir leased

FRANCISTOWN: A local company, Judex Ventures Pty Ltd, has won a bid to lease the Francistown City Council (FCC) dilapidated abattoir, Mmegi has learnt. The company will pay a monthly rental fee of P17,000 to the city council in the next 20 years.

The tender to lease the abattoir was restricted to Botswana companies. The council confirmed the choice of the company through a notice published on the FCC notice board last week Friday.

The FCC announced early last month that it was about to appoint a company to lease the dilapidated multi species abattoir and two companies had reportedly applied.
