FNBB launches deposit-taking ATMs

First National Bank Botswana (FNBB) yesterday launched a first of its kind in Botswana, the Automated Teller Machine (ATM) Advanced. The machine, referred to as ADM, enables self-service transactions notably, taking deposits.

“This ATM Advance is convenient, simple and safe. It saves time of waiting in the long queues inside the bank to make a deposit and interestingly one can do the deposit anytime, as it’s a 24-hour service. Currently the ADMs use notes only with a daily deposit limit of P40,000,” said the national head of ATMs Abo Kgwarae.

He said funds are available immediately after the transaction has been made with no extra cost. He assured clients that the ATM Advance is user-friendly, secure as each transaction has a unique, traceable number for complete peace of mind and one receives a proof of transaction slip. More conveniently this machine does not require a card if one has an account with FNB.
