Botswanapost to facilitate tourism licenses payments

The Department of Tourism have entered into a two year Memorandum of Agreement with BotswanaPost to facilitate payment of the department’s annual license fees, penalties and monthly remittance of tourism industry training levy.

Addressing the media yesterday, the Director of Department of Tourism, Kelebone Maselesele noted that this partnership would help them deliver the task of accessing their services to Batswana at large. According to Maselesele, the partnership was implemented in August with training of BotswanaPost workers.

“This is a good initiative as we have only seven offices in the country while our clients are all over the country. We expect them to travel long distances to pay their monthly fees at their own expenses, which is in a way unfair.
