African Copper Reorganises Its Management

African Copper announced on Friday that it is reorganising its management ahead of the commissioning of Mowana mine in Botswana.

The  Botswana Stock Exchange (BSE) listed company has appointed Christopher Reid Fredericks as Chief Executive Officer. He was formerly the company's Chief Operating Officer.

It is expected that Fredericks will join the Board of Directors on July 1, 2008. He takes over from Joseph Hamilton who has resigned as Chief Executive Officer and from the Board of Directors with mutual consent. Fredericks has an extensive track record with over 29 years experience in base metal mining and exploration from exposure to large-scale open pit and underground mining operations in Zambia, Botswana and South Africa.
