A complacent school

Many struggling schools that are unable to serve students well are suffering from a dangerous affliction called institutional complacency. A complacent school is a self-satisfied school, content with the way things are going and seeing no value in exploring alternative ideas.

It is a school where cultural preservation is everything and cannot be traded for anything. Commitment to a certain way of life is pursued at all costs, including sacrificing the goal of achieving improved learning outcomes.
