Miss Botswana shines at Miss World sports, talent finals

Miss Botswana Karabo Sampson seems to be doing well and making a mark in the ongoing sports and talent semi-finals at the Miss World competition that started this week in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Sampson, along with her Group Two team, comprising queens from the Czech Republic, Guatemala, Dominican Republic, Denmark, and Hungary dominated the swimming competition with Sampson also doing well finishing third in the swimming competition.  Her group scored the most points in swimming where, Czech Republic came in second, Dominican Republic first, Denmark second, Hungary second, from their various categories where countries were divided into groups of six.  Sampson's team also got a Best Supporters award. 

In three pictures posted on the Miss World Facebook page Sampson is shown starring for her team in a ball sport, making what looks like a successful throw, followed by a picture of jubilant team members celebrating, with her arms outstretched in a victory celebration.  Sampson's team also finished third in team results, fourth in shuttle run, second in the sprints, and fourth in the farmers' dash event.  According to the Miss World Facebook page, some of the contestants had a chance to go golfing at the famous Gleneagles Golf Course in Scotland yesterday, while others went on a tour of the Starling Castle and visited with birds of prey.
