The Domboshaba Cultural Festival will return again this year from on September 28th and some local artists have come together to raise funds for the cultural festival by staging cultural themed concerts.

The shows will be held in Tutume and Gaborone on August 24th and September 7th respectively."We all know the magnitude of the Domboshaba Cultural Festival and we understand that organising such an event cannot be left in the hands of a few people, all of us have a part to play.As artists, we saw a need for us to come together and assist by raising funds for this year's celebrations of culture to be held in the Bukalanga area," said IkaJazz icon, Ndingo Johwa.Speaking at a media briefing, Johwa gave details about the fundraising concerts and progress being made.

He said: "The show will be held first in the Northern part of the country.  Shumba Lodge in Tutume has been kind enough to offer us a venue while here in Gaborone, the Maitisong Hall will be the place to be on September 7th."The line-up of artists includes the exciting Bana-Bana Ba Ntobgwa, Thobela, Kanvuthu, Mshilo, Malakista, Abby, Tee Peggos and Butterfly who have all volunteered to be a part of all the shows."The artists have all agreed to transport and feed themselves for these shows, which go a long way in showing that we are committed to achieving this mission.
