Unidentified man found dead by roadside

Gaborone West Police station commander, Howard Modo said they received a call today at around 6am informing them of the discovery of a dead man on the roadside near Molapo Crossing.

Upon arriving at the scene, police found the body of a man believed to be of middle age lying on the roadside between Molapo Crossing shopping complex and Engine Filling Station.

“We have not yet identified the man, his age or his name. He was sent to Princess Marina

Hospital where the doctors certified him dead on arrival,” Modo said. 

Modo said the matter remains under investigation pending the outcome of a post-mortem examination.

Asked if the deceased sustained any injuries Modo could not comment any further stating that they are still waiting for the doctors’ report.
