Orapa United has appointed Tiiso Gadimang as head coach on an interim basis while the club continues its search for a permanent appointment.

Gadimang steps in following the departure of Zimbabwean coach, Taurai Mangwiro, who was sacked in December. Mangwiro took Orapa to the Orange FA Cup final last season but was relieved of his duties following a string of poor results. In a statement, Orapa said Gadimang has the right pedigree to turn around results at the club. “Gadimang’s appointment as interim head coach will undoubtedly bring about new perspectives and strategies providing a platform for him to showcase his managerial prowess and instil a fresh sense of motivation within the team,” a statement from the club reads.

The club further said Gadimang will appoint his own assistant coach. “As Gadimang assumes the position of interim head coach, his focus extends to finding his assistant to complement his coaching style and enhance the club's dynamics.” the statement further said. Gadimang's appointment comes at a time when Orapa United were linked with a reunion with former Zebras coach, Mogomotsi 'Teenage' Mpote.
