Local hospitality player, Hotel 4:30, has won three prestigious international awards strengthening its position in the competitive industry and a motivation for the brand to excel.
The swankier five-star hotel, located in Gaborone’s Central Business District, has been named Luxury Conference and Event Hotel in Botswana, Luxury New Hotel in Southern Africa and Luxury City Business Hotel in Botswana. The accolades were bestowed recently during the 2026 World Luxury Hotel Awards which recognise hotels across the conference and events, new luxury hotel and business hospitality categories. Certificates presented to the hotel confirm its status as the 2026 winner in all three categories. Hotel 4:30 was represented at the awards ceremony in Bucharest, Romania, by Managing Director Kegone Sebina and CEO Marang Isaacs. According to Isaacs, the recognition is a tremendous honour for the hotel and a testament to the dedication of its team. “Winning the luxury awards is a tremendous honour for Hotel 4:30, and it means a great deal to us as a brand. It is a powerful recognition of the hard work, dedication and commitment that our team puts into creating memorable experiences for our guests,” she said. “For us, this achievement goes beyond receiving awards; it affirms our vision, strengthens our confidence in what we are building, and motivates us to continue raising the standards of hospitality.” Isaacs added Hotel 4:30 is not taking the recognition for granted, despite its confidence in the quality of its offering and its long-term potential. “We are truly humbled by this recognition and receiving three awards makes the achievement even more special. “It is a proud moment for our entire team, our loyal guests, and everyone who has supported our journey. Ultimately, this win belongs to every person who has contributed to making Hotel 4:30 what it is today,” she said. Established in 2006, the World Luxury Hotel Awards provides international recognition to hotels in the luxury hospitality sector. According to the awards organisation’s stated process, winners are selected through voting involving guests, travellers and industry participants, with more than 300,000 international travellers reportedly voting annually during a three-week period. Hotel 4:30’s triple victory places the spotlight on Botswana’s hospitality sector and the growing ambition of local establishments to compete for recognition in the international luxury market.
