Five clubs that failed to get a licence to play in the 2022–2023 Botswana Premier League season have been pardoned, Mmegi Sport has learnt.

Extension Gunners, Mogoditshane Fighters, Masitaoka, Eleven Angels and Morupule Wanderers had all failed to meet the Club Licensing requirements and were relegated to the lowest division.

However, following the Botswana Football Association intervention, the clubs got a reprieve as the First Instance Board was requested to review their cases.
