As the two Gaborone City rivals, Gaborone United (GU) and Township Rollers wrestle in the boardroom, the latter has been further irked by their rivals with the acquisition of the Zebras’ midfielder, Mothusi Cooper.

GU this week announced the signing of Cooper on a one-year deal with the player joining as a free agent. The midfielder was last on the books of Moroccan top-flight side, Mouloudia Club of Oujda (MOujdaja) where he left after a brief six-month stay.

Cooper also played for the Zambian side, Lusaka Dynamos while Rollers were the last local team he featured for.
