Team Botswana has been dealt a blow a few days before the World Championships scheduled for Oregon, after one of the team members tested positive for a banned substance.

According to information reaching Mmegi Sport, the athlete tested positive after a sample taken during a local competition. The athlete is expected to be flown back home from the United States this weekend. According to sources, the athlete will lose his title he won at the recent Africa Senior Championships held in Mauritius . Additionally, the athlete faces suspension from competitions.
