Mochudi Centre Chiefs have announced the departure of head coach, Miguel Torreira with immediate effect, just three games into the season. The club confirmed the development in a statement issued on Monday, announcing that it had ended its working relationship with the Spanish mentor.
In three games played this season under him, Chiefs have recorded one win, one draw and one defeat, leaving the coach with a mixed start before the club opted to make a change. The club thanked Torreira for his contribution and professionalism during his time with the club, wishing him success in his future endeavours. “Further announcements regarding the club’s technical leadership will be communicated in due course,” the club said.
Chiefs fans will now await clarity on who will take over the reins as soon as they return from the FIFA international break. The club did not provide reasons for the decision to part ways with Torreira.
