BFA moves to fire Taylor

The Botswana Football Association (BFA) is expected to dismiss suspended chief executive officer (CEO), Goabaone Taylor this afternoon.

Taylor was suspended late last year over the misallocation of FIFA funds, amounting to P8.8 million.

The funds were diverted to other BFA projects other than the FIFA sanctioned initiatives. Taylor recently appeared before a disciplinary committee headed by former football administrator, Leviet Ntwaagae. Sources said a verdict will be delivered today at Lekidi and will see Taylor dismissed, just less than a year into her term. The sources said Taylor's predecessor, Mfolo Mfolo will be reappointed to the post.
