Who should get the chop at Rollers?

Township Rollers' coach Rahman Gumbo made a shocking revelation after their 1-0 loss to BDF XI in Molepolole last Friday that some of the players at the club do not deserve to be there. Sports Writer TSHEPO MOLWANE analyses the Rollers' team to determine which players should stay at the blues

Anthony Matengu
His move to Township Rollers was a major shock because of the man he was supposed to replace, Lesego 'Chokri' Moeng. Rollers had said Moeng was ageing and cannot help them in their quest for silverware, only to hire Matengu, another football ancestor. In an all honesty, since arriving at Mapalastina, there is nothing to write home about the former Mogoditshane Fighters' goalkeeper. His errors have cost the club dearly this season. He has cost Rollers victory in matches the team could have easily won. Verdict: He should go.

Kabelo Dambe.
The national Under-20 goalkeeper has shown that he has potential in the games he has featured in. At times like in the second round encounter against Police XI, he was let down by the porous defence. He needs time and guidance to realise his potential. Rollers' faithful can be assured of a top-class goalkeeper for years to come. Verdict: He stays.
