Yesteryear stars are likely to resurface in the elite league in the second round of the 2010/2011 be-MOBILE Premier league season as clubs turn to experience in their quest for top honours or survive the dreaded relegation axe.

Among the surprise names in the current transfer window is that of former Zebras' striker Thato Siska who has since signed with his former club, Uniao Flamengo Santos. The last time Siska played competitively was in the 2007/2008 season then donning the colours of Mochudi Centre Chiefs. He, however, spent most of the time sidelined by injury until he completely faded from the local scene. It was reported last week that he was training with his former side, Santos, and the club later announced they have acquired the services of the once forceful striker. He played in Santos' mid-week loss to BDF XI in Molepolole. The former Notwane striker cut his teeth at Chiefs in the late 1990s before joining Notwane where he prospered before going for a short stint abroad. He joined Santos upon his return where his impressive form caught the eyes of national team selectors.

Another player who makes a return to top-flight football is former Gaborone United (GU) and BDF XI midfield kingpin, Mosalagae 'City' Gaborone, who has resurfaced with Premier League rookies, Black Peril. Gaborone made his mark in the 2005/2006 season with Moyagoleele as they returned to the Premier League after spending five seasons in the first division. He later fell out of favour at the once glamorous club and was hired by BDF XI in the 2007/2008 season where he did not enjoy much success under then coach, Stan Tshosane; currently the Zebras' head coach.
