The untold AFCON bid story

The Botswana Football Association (BFA) had prepared a bid document expressing interest to host the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations finals before the association’s executive committee shot down the idea, Mmegi Sport can reveal.

Mmegi Sport came across a comprehensive bid document detailing how the BFA intended to put together a winning plan, which was to be presented to the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
