The Botswana Football Association (BFA) has dropped a bombshell by dissolving the Women Football Commission (WFC) and the Women League Committee.

The former commission chairperson Senki Sesinyi got the shock of his life on Wednesday when he was summoned to the BFA offices to be informed of the dissolution.

Sesinyi who was reluctant to discuss the issue said no explanation was given for the decision though he has been made an additional member of the new commission chosen by BFA. Among the new committee members is past immediate chairperson Cynthia Kooitsiwe who is now the vice chairperson. Sesinyi said a lot is happening at the BFA and they have decided to keep quiet in the interest of football. He alleged that some people at BFA are abusing their powers. He warned that disaster is looming. He wondered how the BFA can dissolve the committees without consulting with the clubs that voted the officials in. "We know that they have powers to do that but we are shocked as to how the whole issue has been handled. It is like someone thinks he has more power than the voters," he said yesterday.
