SELEBI-PHIKWE: Nico United have recorded a 14 percent decline in revenue, with the club recording a P300,000 loss in the just ended season, it was revealed at the club’s annual general meeting held here on Sunday.

The slide in revenue has been attributed to the team’s poor performance this season, which saw Nico finishing off ninth. Nico made P2.4 million in the previous season, after a considerably successful season in which they finished fifth.

The club’s chairperson, Mothusi Taolo attributed the decline in figures to the team’s poor performance. “The attendance of games was very poor due to the team’s poor performance and that resulted in the club not making money from gate takings,” he said.
