Moloi, Maposa decision today

The Players' Status Committee (PSC) meets today to determine the fate of two Mochudi Centre Chiefs' stars Pontsho Moloi and Noah Maposa who have been on loan to Bay United of South Africa.

The two players terminated their loan contracts with the South African First Division side to return to Chiefs but their plans to play for Magosi have so far been unsuccessful.

PSC secretary, Tumagole Tumagole told Mmegi Sport that they should have taken a decision on Monday but they could not meet as some of the committee members were committed elsewhere. The committee had initially decided that the Premier League Committee (PLC) should register the two players to enable them to play for Chiefs this season. But it is said that the Botswana Football Association (BFA) advised the status committee to have a re-look at the matter. Tumagole however said it does not necessarily mean that they have to change their decision when they meet today. The players' loan spell at Bay United was supposed to end in May but the two decided to terminate their contracts after the team failed to gain promotion to the Premier Soccer League. A few days after the players terminated their contracts, the Port Elizabeth-based side was liquidated.
