Modipane United demolish Young Strikers

Modipane United were in top form on Saturday when they beat visiting Young Strikers 5-0 in a thrilling First Division South League match.

The Modipane side went into the match in position four on the log and needed victory to stay the course.Their efforts yielded two successive goals just before the half hour mark. The first came in the 24th minute through Molatlhegi Podile with Moshe Tlhaolang making it 2-0 four minutes later. After the two goals, Young Strikers seemed to wake up and give Modipane a run for their money. But the scores were 3-0 at the break after Thabani Ngwenya scored a third goal on the stroke of half time.

Thirty seconds into the second half, Ngwenya had his effort cleared off the line.Former Mogoditshane Fighters anchorman, Patrick Dikalanyane's blistering shot from outside the box made it 4-0 in the 60th minute.
