Makwala, Amos poised for more glory

Golden boys, Nijel Amos and two-time African champion, Isaac Makwala, are poised for more glory with the 4x4 relay final set for today in Marrakesh, Morocco. Amos bagged his second gold medal in as many weeks when he clocked 1:48.54.

This was after he got the country’s only gold and medal at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow two weeks ago.

Makwala made amends after his Commonwealths disappointment when he retained the 400m African title.  He was fastest in the heats and semi-finals and went on to lead the way in the final.
