Makufa stun Rollers

Makufa stunned defending women’s soccer league champions Township Rollers by a solitary goal over the weekend to mark the start of the new season.

Makufa, who finished fifth last season, came into the match as underdogs as they faced a Rollers side that went unbeaten last season.

A first half strike from Masego Leganana gave Makufa the narrow victory.
