Local Runners Break Foreign Dominance

It was becoming a norm that foreign runners dominate local road races. But that was brought to a halt yesterday at Botswana Life half marathon. 

Most of the athletes were using the race as a dress rehearsal for Phikwe national marathon that follows next weekend.

Rapula Diphoko of Diacore runners club was the fastest and won the race in 1:07:24. Pint-sized Sesebo Matlapeng followed closely to reach the finish line in 1:07:27.
