Local golfers urged to improve their scores

Botswana Golf Union (BGU) executive committee member, Enoch Mushango, has advised local golfers especially juniors to improve their scores if they are to do well in international games.

Mushango told Mmegi Sport after the 2013 Orange Golf Classics Championships that were held at Phakalane Golf Estate over the weekend that Batswana golfers' scores were not recognised when they participated in the international arena because they were high.

David Masole of Gaborone Golf Club walked away as the winner with a gross score of 78. Mushango said the championship division score was par 73 and the winner should have scored less than that.
