LKC lead schools rugby charge

FRANCISTOWN: The war cry of Livingstone Kolobeng College (LKC) Rugby side is not just achieving its aim of sending a shiver down the spines of opponents.

It starts with a soloist shouting in a shrill and haunting voice. "Tlaa kwaaano! Tlaa kwaaano!," the soloist goes and the whole gang replies in a terrifying bulldog like growl: "Huuu Huuu!".

After about four or five renditions, the boys launch a ferocious attack on retreating opponents. LKC was one of the senior and private secondary schools that converged on the Francistown rugby pitch to slug it out in the quarterfinals recently. Others were Maruapula, Selebi-Phikwe, Legae Academy, Mater Spei College, Naledi and Ghanzi.
