Lack of training hurt Spartans

Spartans’ coach, Alec Masebe has said his players are performing poorly because they are not training together. He said most of his players are college students on attachment in Gaborone, while the club is based in Selebi-Phikwe.

He told Monitor Sport after his team lost 3-0 to Kutlwano in the Mascom Volleyball League on Saturday that the players only meet during matches.

This was the fourth loss by the club in the league, while Kutlwano registered a second win from three games. Masebe remains hopeful that his team will recover because it is still too early in the league.
