Kutlwano to amend constitution at AGM
*Club moves to offer players contracts

Kutlwano Volleyball Club holds an elective Annual General Meeting (AGM) tomorrow at Gaborone Senior Secondary School against a backdrop of a successful season.

The amendment of the club constitution is expected to be at the core of discussions at the meeting. Other issues on the agenda include the amendment of the club's policies regarding players' welfare and contracts.  The re-branding of the team will also be tabled. Club spokesperson Shadrack Modiakgotla said it is high time the constitution was amended because it is outdated. He said the last time the document was amended was in the 1990s and that it is affecting the running of the club. He said the club has grown and is looking at ways of further expansion. Currently the club does not have contracts for players and Modiakgotla said there is need to offer players contracts in order to move towards professionalism. "As it is now,  there is no document that we can use regarding players' stay at the club, meaning they can move out any time they want," Modiakgotla said.

The AGM will seek to propose that the position of chairperson is removed and replaced with that of president.  The meeting comes at a time when the two teams have just clinched the Mascom Volleyball league titles in both the men and women's sections.
