Kgatlampane, Osi dominate Table Tennis tourney

Joseph Kgatlampane and Matshediso Osi dominated the Botswana Table Tennis Association Top 16 tournament held at the Botswana College of Agriculture Multi-Purpose Hall in Sebele on Sunday.

The two won most of their games in a tournament co-sponsored by Tan Catering Services; and Master Joinery and Aluminium. The competition saw the best 16 players from the men and women catergoies battling it out.

In the men’s singles category, Kgatlampane of Smash Manias got sweet revenge against his tormenter and defending champion, Thobo Matlhatsi of BDF in a 4-1 demolition. The setback marked the end of Matlhatsi’s title defence. Kgatlampane continued with his good run as he went on to win the men’s doubles title with Bonolo Mabote after a hard-fought 3-1 victory over the stubborn duo of Tiro Lesomo and Modisathebe.
