Katisenge off to US for chess leadership workshop

The Botswana Chess Federation (BCF) public relations officer, Keenese Katisenge is leaving for Florida in the United States of America (US), to participate in the United Nations flagship outreach programme.

Katisenge will join 33 other young sports leaders from across the world. Some of the countries that will send representatives are Brazil, Aruba, Cyprus, South Africa and Kenya. The programme starts on June 7, 2015.

Katisenge told Mmegi Sport yesterday that she was excited about the opportunity. She said it would be a chance to participate at a high level workshop aimed at grooming young leaders. She also said she expects to learn a lot from the two-week  workshop. The workshop will bring together young people who have the potential to be community leaders in the field of sport for development.
