It is kick off time for the Botswana Netball Association (BONA) as the Motor Centre league that was supposed to start in May takes off tomorrow.

Jungle Queens' coach Joseph Makakaba expressed hope that this year's edition will forge ahead as envisaged. Observing that the way the league was run in the past was not bad, he said there are few things that need to be sorted out. Makakaba hoped the association would inform match officials about their assignments in time to save time. In the past, matches were delayed because officials were late.

Makakaba also decried poor performance by some teams. He said some teams have serious financial problems hence their performance is below par. Only two teams have been competitive in recent years resulting in them always meeting in all the netball finals.
