How Zebras' Players Fared Against Togo

Zebras put on a sterling performance against the Hawks from Togo in the 2012 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers on Saturday. This was a game the hosts had to win at all costs to keep their dreams of making a debut in the continental soccer showpiece alive. Staff Writer, Tshepo Molwane rates each player on a 10-point scale

Modiri Marumo
He was hardly tested the whole afternoon by the visitors. He saved the nation when he came off his line to clear the lines after his defence was caught off-guard in the 40th minute.  After conceding a strange goal against Malawi in the last qualifier, Marumo once again conceded a stupid goal. However, he was exposed by his rearguard when he conceded on Saturday. He remains Botswana's top goalkeeper.
Rating: 7/10

Mompati Thuma
One of the most committed defenders. He hardly put a foot wrong on Saturday but, he has to take the blame for the goal conceded. It will be interesting to see how the Zebras cope in the absence of the hard-working BDF XI defender. Rating 8/10
