Gunners Through To Coke Quarter-Finals

Extension Gunners stumbled, then recovered to register a convincing 3-1 win over First Division side, Mathaithai in the Coca Cola Cup round of 16 at the Molepolole Sports Complex on Friday night.

Gunners are now through to the quarterfinals of the country's premier knock-out competition which has a top prize of P500,000.

Despite going into the break with a 1-0 lead, Gunners fumbled throughout the first half and were lucky not to have conceded as Mathaithai squandered numerous goal-scoring opportunities.  The Moshupa outfit did enough to make sure Gunners failed to settle in the game from kick-off, but Mapantsula found their foot after the break and stamped their authority.
