Move halted: Gunners will not be signing Ruzivo

MAUN: Extension Gunners have abandoned the chase for Sankoyo Bush Bucks striker, Morris Ruzivo as the club has reached its quota for foreign players.

Gunners’ spokesperson, Keorapetse Kgasa said the team had decided against signing Ruzivo as the Lobatse side already has three foreigners, Desire Bafana, Tshegofatso Chimuku and Mogomotsi Mokoka.

“We met yesterday and it was decided that we cannot release any of the foreign players we have. We were interested (in Ruzivo), but the deal has fallen through,” he said.  Ruzivo proved a prolific buy for Sankoyo, finishing among the leading goal scorers with 11goals. He however almost got the club into hot soup as he was declared a defaulter and the team lost three points.  The issue almost resulted in the Maun side being demoted to the First Division North had it not been for the intervention of the Botswana Football Association.
