Galenamotlhale scoops player of the season award

Mochudi Centre Chiefs’ midfielder, Lesego Galenamotlhale emerged the biggest winner at the 2014/2015 beMOBILE Premier League awards on Saturday night, walking away with two awards and P95 000 prize money.

Galenamotlhale beat Township Rollers’ midfielder, Segolame Boy and Orapa United striker Hendrick Moyo to win the most prestigious award of the night, the Player of the Season, with a prize tag of P75 000. He also won the bePlayer of the Season, an award voted for by football supporters. The award carries prize money of P20 000.  The ‘Big Lesh’ as the player is affectionately known, has been one of the most consistent performers in the past season and contributed a lot to the Chiefs’ title success. He was a marvel to watch in the middle of the park either operating as offensive or defensive player.

Speaking to Monitor Sport, a visibly jubilant Galenamotlhale said he was happy that he has won the two awards and that he contributed to his team success.
