FC Satmos beef up squad to beat the drop

SELEBI-PHIKWE: FC Satmos are determined to avoid relegation after beefing up the squad and appointing a new coach.

Satmos chairperson, Lecco Molefi said they have gone all out to find players who can do the job for them after a disastrous first round. He said the three, two strikers and a midfielder, were signed after a recent trial. The players are Mgcini Sibanda from Railstars, Mkhululi Moyo from Bantu Rovers and Qinani Sibanda from Zimbabwe Alloys. He said they have appointed Zimbabwean, Dalubuhle Bhebhe from Chicken Inn to replace Duncan Tshegofatso."We signed Bhebhe after the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA)'s recommendation. He was part of the technical team at the side that is doing well in his native country and also his achievement speaks volumes. We expect him to take our club forward and bring in the expertise that we have been lacking," said Molefi.

He explained that they had not officially appointed Tshegofatso as a coach. He said the problem is that some members of the technical team have full-time jobs, which limits their involvement in the team. Thobo 'Fish' Kgoboge and Abednico Abed Thuthuka return from semi-retirement to provide much needed experience to a young side. The club has lost Tomas Mkethiwa and Tafazwa Zombe who have relocated to Namibia. Meanwhile, Molefi has accused their neighbours Nico United of being uncooperative. He said they had shown interest in the services of Nico goalkeeper, Ntungamili Tshoganetso and the player was keen to join them.
