The Botswana boxing team that competed at the just ended Africa Championships in Congo-Brazzaville faced a torrid time, but there was a silver lining in the dark cloud with two boxers, Mohammed Otukile and Kesemang Aratwa putting up defiant performances.

Aratwa scooped a bronze medal in the women’s 64kg category while Otukile brought home a silver medal from the men’s 52kg category.

Otukile, the Mafika Boxing Club member, settled for silver after losing the final 3-0 to Flissi Mohammed of Algeria.
