Chuffed up Morirwa, Jenamiso relish Zebras call-up

FRANCISTOWN: Ecco City Greens duo of Lovemore Morirwa and Keabetswe Jenamiso has expressed delight at recent call-ups to the national team.

Like most senior players at Mamoja Diski, Morwira and Jenamiso were used sparingly at the beginning of the season by their former coach, Chris Tembo.Morwirwa's form blossomed under caretaker coach, Atshele Molapi, who took over the reigns early this year.In fact, his call-up can be attributed to his sterling performance in the Mascom Top 8 Cup, though Ecco succumbed to a 3-1 onslaught by a ruthless Township Rollers in the final a fortnight ago.

Jenamiso is not new to the national team set up. The 27-year-old was once drafted into the national team two years ago after showing glimpses of greatness. Due to inconsistency, the towering defender was never recalled to the Zebras fold.Jenamiso now seems to have recaptured the form that led to many pundits predicting a brighter future for him. Along with Emmanuel Nlu, Jenamiso has been a pillar of strength in the impregnable ECCO defence.
